A woman's body is beautiful. But unless you are a trained model or a dancer posing for your boudoir photoshoot could seem problematic. You might feel that you are stiff, or think you are awkward in front of the camera. The truth is, camera angles and body positioning could improve your poses tremendously. It can hide the body parts you don't like, accentuate those you are in love with, and make you look longer, slimmer, and sexier!
My role as your photographer is to pay very close attention to details and make sure I make you look your best by coaching you to move your body (from head to toe) in a way that would flatter you and make you look fantastic. The funniest thing is, the more awkward it feels for you, the better it looks on camera!
Let's take a look at the above example - how different a person can look within minutes of taking a photograph and simply by changing the body position, even the angle the photo was taken from is the same. Always have your weight on the hip AWAY from camera, elongate the neck and leg closest to camera, point your toes to make your legs look longer and slimmer, and keep your arm away from your body and avoid pushing it against yourself, which will immediately make it look smaller. Never push your hips forward if you want your belly to look proportional.
The images above illustrate a boudoir posing concept called The S Curve. Even poses that are done facing the camera head on (or straight) have the potential to look gorgeous if you are creating an S shape with your body by arching your back, leaning your head to same side as your booty, and placing your arms in a way that show your waist line or back arch.
